Research and Development Project for Optimizing the Dispatching System of Three Gorges Cascade Reservoir won the 2nd prize for National Science and Technology Progress Award.
October 26
Three Gorges Project successfully stored water to 175m for the first time, with reservoir and hydro-complex works operating normally; and with such functions as flood control, power generation and navigation reaching the design requirements. Three Gorges Project began to generate comprehensive returns at normal impoundment level.
