Three Gorges Power Plant realized monthly generating output of over 10 kWh for the first time, generating 10.3 kWh in July, equivalent to the 2.5 months of power consumption of Beijing.

The last hydropower generator set (No. 15 unit) on the left and right banks of Three Gorges Project was put into production and operation, marking that all 26 units on the left and right banks of the Three Gorges have been put into production one year in advance, with the total installed capacity reaching the design 18,200 MW and with the power generating output ranking top in the global hydropower industry.
